OPINION: Dan Walters: San Jose Democrats dress up corporate tax dodges

PRINTDespite bemoaning lack of funds for public services, Assemblyman Jim Beall D-San Jose, is backing a bill that would which would protect airlines from paying higher sales taxes on their fuel purchases in California. According to Dan Walters writing for the Mercury News, this is an unevenly levied tax break favoring a single industry that would cost the State $108 million a year in revenues.
