The Orange County Register reports that the pace of companies moving partly or completely out of California has accelerated in 2011, with 60 more California companies moving jobs, work and/or headquarters out of state in the last two months.

NEWS: $100,000 pension club of public retirees in California is booming

Almost 9,000 retirees in the California Public Employees' Retirement System receive at least $100,000 in annual benefits, more than quadruple the number getting that much during 2005, according to a Sacramento Bee review of CalPERS data.

OPINION: Crazifornia: Despite revenue surge, Brown sticks to tax hikes

Governor Brown is still pushing for a revised budget that requires approval of several unpopular tax extensions, despite the State reporting $6.6 billion more in tax receipts than anticipated. Meanwhile, State Republicans have submitted a “no tax” budget that was balanced by using the increased revenue plus cuts, according to Laer Pearce of The Daily Caller.
